Four New Countries Join ACI!
At the ACI General Assembly in Singapore, May 2001, four new countries received unanimous approval to join ACI-The Financial Markets Association. The new member countries were Mauritius, Georgia, Macedonia, and Egypt. This brings the total number of countries with full chapters to 65. ACI-FMA membership is now around 18,000 individual members from over 81 countries.

ACI-FMA Education Information Session
FMAC will host an information session in the fall to inform members about ACI-FMA Education programs and discuss some interesting developments on the global front related to accreditation and regulation. The session will be on Tuesday, 25 September from 5–6 pm, location TBA. Two delegates from ACI-The Financial Markets Association will be on hand to explain the course syllabus and training, as well as answer any questions you may have. Cocktails and hors d’ouevres to follow. Pass on the word to your colleagues. These courses are great for new market entrants and staff in operations and risk.

Canada to Host 2007 ACI-FMA International Congress
For those of you who were around in 1997, you will know what we mean when we say . . . Here we go again! Canada has won the bid to host the 45th ACI-FMA International Congress. Over the next year we will be putting together the organizing committee for this event and look forward to hearing from any interested volunteers.
