Chris Naylor
Treasurer
Christopher began his career at Guardian Trust Company in October
1987 working in the Precious Metals and FX Trading area. In February of
1990, he joined Tullett & Tokyo as a Foreign Exchange broker. In 1994
he joined MW Marshall and, following a couple of mergers, joined Cantor
Fitzgerald in August of 1998 to help in the start up of a new forward
FX desk. Finally, in March of 2001, following Cantor Fitzgeralds
investment in and merger with Freedom International Brokerage he has been
involved in FX swaps and derivative products. Chris is a Candidate for
Level III of the CFA Program and has completed the Canadian Securities
Course and ACI Diploma Course. In 1987 he graduated from Queens
University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Marketing.
Chris is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research
(AIMR) and the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts.
Gerard Buckley
Secretary
Gerard began his career at Scotia Bank in 1976 working in Commercial
Banking. In 1983, he assumed a position in foreign exchange as a Canadian
Dollar Trader in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Gerard held progressive positions
in Halifax leading to the position of Senior Manager (and Head of), Atlantic
Investment Banking, Halifax. He was responsible for foreign exchange trading
and sales and money market sales in Atlantic Canada. Gerard was transferred
to Toronto in 1993 in a foreign exchange sales capacity and was promoted
to the position of Director, Foreign Exchange Risk Management, Scotia
Capital in January 1996. Gerard is currently responsible for providing
consultative foreign risk management advice to Corporate and Government
Clients in Ontario. Gerard was awarded The Institute of Canadian Bankers
Gold Medal for Academic Excellence in 1996 and holds a BBA degree in Finance
and Accounting. Gerard has been an active member in The Treasury Management
Association of Canada and is on the Board of Governors of the Army Cadet
League of Canada, an organization dedicated to the development of young
people in Canada. Gerard has two sons Andrew (21) and Brian (19) and is
married to Mary MacDonald.
Carmen Perricone
Communications
Carmen began his career as an Assistant Equity Trader in 1992
with Permanent Capital in Toronto. In 1993 he joined State Street Trust
in their institutional portfolio valuation department. In 1995 State Street
opened a treasury desk in Toronto and Carmen was promoted to help in its
setup. In 1996 he joined the desk and was responsible for MM trading.
In 1997 he was promoted to his current position of heading the Forward
Canada and Currency Forward Desk. Carmen obtained his CFA designation
in 1999. In 1992 he graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor
of Commerce.
Alan Stevens
Membership
Alan Graduated from The University of Guelph, with an Honors BA
in Management Economics in 1993. In 1995 he moved to Toronto to start
his career in Institutional Pension Funds at State Street Canada where
he remained for 2 years. In 1997 he joined the U.S. Dollar Money Market
desk at TD Securities. In 1999 he joined the Asset and Liabilities Group
with TD Bank. In 2000 after the TD Canada Trust merger, he once again
joined the Securities side of the institution where he now works as dealer
with the Canada Forwards, and US Dollar Funding desks.
Francois Belanger
Montreal Chapter President & FMAC Director
Francois began his trading career with TD Bank in 1991, working
in the Treasury foreign exchange operation in Toronto. He pursued his
career with Montrustco & Associates in Montreal as head of Global
Equity Trading from 1994 to 1996. Francois worked at NBC Montreal as a
foreign exchange Institutional sales manager, before joining BMO-Nesbitt
Burns in March 2000, where he is currently building client relationships
and marketing foreign exchange structured products. Francois is currently
in the CFA program and followed the ACI diploma course in 1996. He graduated
in 1991 from the University of Montreal business school, École
des Hautes Études Commerciales, with a Bachelor in Business Administration,
major in International Financial Management. Francois is currently President
of the FMAC Montreal chapter.
